Gloria H. Portillo, M.A.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Gloria is passionate about empowering young minds. She has worked with preschool children, ages 3 months to 12 years for over 22 years. After working in the classroom, she became an assistant director and later a center director.
Gloria is currently an Early Childhood Consultant providing technical assistance on various child development issues. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (NU) and a master’s degree in Child Development and Family Studies (CSULA). Gloria holds a Child Development Site Supervisor permit from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. During her free time, Gloria volunteers as a Parent Facilitator at Children’s Bureau serving low-income families.
Gloria owned a private preschool for a span of a decade, serving children ages 18 months to 5 years, in the Mid-Wilshire area. She was committed to building strong relationships with the children and families she served. In 2016, she decided to sell her private preschool and pursue a long-life dream of obtaining a master’s degree.
Lastly but not least, Gloria is a wife and mother of two beautiful and strong girls.

Ruth Basilio, BA
Ruth has been working with children for the last 5 years. She holds a BA in child development from Cal State LA, and is currently working on her elementary school credentials. Her hobbies include going to the movies and working on arts & crafts.
